A unique three storey sandstone house built as part of a row in the 1860's. Oikos Architects were commissioned to reconstruct the interior on the three levels and reconstruct the rear three storey verandah. Oikos Architects prepared the Conservation Management Plan initially as the place was listed as being of State Significance and also the Statement of Heritage Impact for the proposal to be put to Leichhardt Council. Additional accommodation was required by the owner and this was satisfied by the addition of a rear studio linked to the house and hence keeping the integrity of the original house and verandah form.
